Yep another Caney Creek Post!

Post by ouachita hiker on Thu Nov 20, 2008 8:59 pm

You guys are problably tired of my posts about this area but I wanted to let you know if you are hikeing this area on either of the next two Sats. 22 and 29 I will be working on the trail. This Sat. Janet (outlawpacker), myself, Susan Bates from Mena, Dismal Hiker from Dallas Sierra Club and one of his friends will be work on clearing downed trees. On the 29th myself, my son Bryan from OK City, and Mark (AR.hiker) will also be in sawing on those old trees. Ha! anyone wants some fire wood? If you are camping in the area there won't be any loss for firewood.

CU on the trail, uh with some loppers that is!

Go get 'em Tom!

I'm sorry again that I can't make it, but in order to see the rest of my family for the holidays I have to head to Missouri a few days before I leave for Arizona. The weather's been perfect for hiking and trail work lately, so it really bums me out.

Anyway, like I said, I'll try my best to make it next time.

Jay,

Your family is more important! Enjoy your visit. By the way dismal hiker (Mark) told me today that the Dallas Sierra club would like to get more involved with trail work and they would like to work more in this area. Not only the Caney Wilderess trails but also maybe the Little Mo's trails. We just might be getting something big started here!
