That sounds Awesome to me, but I would have to hike solo on the 2nd to get back to my truck. That's no big deal, and this trip sounds wonderful!!!

P... we could stage your truck at the top of the mountain... No need for solo.

Yeah kind of what I was thinking.. Would be a up there and back. If you wanted to you could park up by P and bail out at the top.. I think I want to do the return. Would be similar to what we did on the ERL Red...

Sounds good to me. I need to do some up and down. I'll start taking a closer look at the trail since you're pretty busy. I'll let you know more about my confirmation once I see how Christmas sizes up, but I am planning on going - just haven't told my wife yet Razz.

TM - can you have a fire on this trail? It could be a little chilly without one - just saying... Guess we could all test out the cold weather gear we get from Santa Question

Red.. as far as I can tell yes fires are permited. The only place thats not in the park is the top of the mountain. Its State Park, so all the standard rules apply.

Just a thought - if water is an issue we could cache some water at one of the "Parking" areas listed on the map.

If my truck is going to be on top so I can leave early, we can cache all the water we want in it. I usually always keep a 5 gallon water carrier in the back when I hike anyway. Its always good to know that there is always water at the truck Wink

Sounds great! Maybe we can drop some at the parking areas at road 1631C and Green Bench Rd. That'll lighten our packs quite a bit...
