Glad you guys found the journal. I'll be leaving Wednesday for my solo ERL yo-yo as my shake down hike. I'll report back both here and at trailjournals as to how things go. It'll actually be my first time to be on the trail for 6 days and solo so it should be interesting.

Red,

How many days are you taking for your yo-yo?

I'm planning on 6 days, 10 miles / day and will overlap the trail to get in 60 miles. I want to get a good camp routine down and work on a steady pace plus pack with the dreaded bear canister.

I just got back home from the ERL and there is a lot of poison ivy on the trail. It is a good time to go, and there is plenty of clear water for you. Have fun Smile
