Photography Clinic.. The basics

Post by Trail Monkey on Mon Aug 18, 2008 10:06 pm

I am simply trying to get a better idea of who is interested in a photo clinic, and what you want to do. Please let me know ASAP. If enough people are interested I may be coaxed into it hahaha.

My vote is for a Weekender at the Buffalo River.

I like the weekend thing too, however I will have to leave on a Saturday night to be back at church. I would love to actually go to the Buffalo River, since I have never been. Thanks Eddie for even considering Very Happy

I voted weekender too, as that would be my preference; but that doesn't mean I could make it for sure. I would certainly try.

Actually I am thinking about making it a weekend but have it so that you can make it one day or two. Come in Sat or Sunday and leave when you need to. Yea you will miss some things but hey this is the real world and I love being open like that. hahaha

I agree, Eddie. A two-day would be great. That way people can come and go as they please.

Ok.. so this is not a new thread but thought I would simply bring it back to the top. You guys live over there so I would ask if anyone has any idea of when peak colours are suppose to be in? We may be able to plan around that time. As for where, I scoped out all the campgrounds in the Buffalo and the only one that really shows any promise is Oazark Campground. Most of the rest are lacking in the tree department. Erbie is the second choise but only the walk in sites down by the river has any real trees and its in a BAD flood area. As long as no sudden rains come up we should be ok.
So right now the working list is Eddie, Jay Preacha Colt... anyone else interested?

The first weekend in Nov. last year was peak on the Buffalo. Hopefully it will be alot better this year with all the rain. There were only a few days that were very colorful and they were marginal.

Yes the rain has been plenty. It should be a great splash of colour when it does hit. I was hoping maybe end of Oct. so that would be about right.

I am interested but it depends on the arrival date of the young one. Is there a proposed date?

I'm in if the date we all decide on fits. And I really think the Buffalo will be awesome this year.

I am thinking the last weekend in Oct. Fri 24, Sat 25, Sun 26. Camp in a site and day hike all weekend. Leave it open for anyone to come in or leave any time they feel the need to. Get up there Fri afternoon and I myself would leave sometime around noon on Sunday. Let's see who can work with that date though first.

That all sounds great to me, I have never been, and my wife would want to learn basic camera as well. We would make it a family weekend trip. You all set the dates and I will work around them.
