OH, that looks almost exactly like the Chimney at the Francis Marion Mannon Homesite, just about half a mile off the Butterfield Trail. Between miles 5 and 6 of the Butterfield off on a mountain bike trail that follows Blackburn Creek.
I have never taken a picture of it, but it sure looks the same

Wow, it is amazing how many fireplaces/chimney are still standing from old homesites. Everytime I pass by one, I always stop and look around, then think, someone use to live out here. Simpler times that is for sure

Re: Where was this picture taken?
I think I got this one. If I'm not mistaken, Tom took some pohots with his grandson on this hike.
Drum roll, please.
Hurricane Creek Wilderness. Like Tom said, just a few steps off of the trail. If I remember correctly, it's close to a crossing of Hurricane Creek itself.

Yep John got it!! It is between the two creek crossings (Hurricane Creek) in the Hurricane Creek Wilderness area. There is also a old frontier rock fence in that area also... This is a truly special place to visit.

Hahahaha exactly
I knew you would know almost immediately. Lets see if someone can narrow it down a little between those 2 points.

no coordinates, just the name of the place will do. Or at least the general area and what it is
