Group hikes?

Group hikes?
Well folks we have had a get together, and the tarp hammock clinic of which I was unable to attend and I hate that
I missed both of these events. I was thinking with more folks coming on the forum asking about specific areas to hike
why don't we start up some group hikes? If you know an area well you could offer to lead the hike. I haven't ever
done anything like this but have always wanted to go on a group hike. I have a good knowledge of the Caney and Buckeye trails, which would make a good week end hike. Any way I am kinda opening the door for discussion. In my line of work I am very busy till early Nov. Not to say I couldn't do something sooner.
What do you guys think?

Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop off like autumn leaves. John Muir

Re: Group hikes?
I'm getting close to being ready for a weekender. I just want the bugs to BUZZ OFF!
I definately think we should start planning some group hikes. I will think about a hike I'd like to lead and post up soon.

Jay,
I am getting ready to get out also. Got the itch bad. I guess we will try to get out down towards
the end of Sept. to early Oct. By the way I am up to 3.5 to 4 miles on my walks. I plan on being
ready for the trai.

Re: Group hikes?
Me too, UL mentioned something about the eagle rock loop or something like that, whichever one is south of Whiterock Mountain. That sounds great to me. If not, I am always ready for the Butterfield.

Re: Group hikes?
I am planning on doing the ERL hopefully in late September or early October. If people want to get serious about planning that one, let me know and we can get on it!

Re: Group hikes?
The ERL is just north of me. Probably a 30 to 45 min. drive. The Eagle Rock Loop
is in the Southern Ouacitas. I want to hike that one also.
