shoe lace tying techniques

Post by ouachita hiker on Thu Apr 10, 2008 3:05 pm

Well this is a subject that isn't talked about much. My wife, Janet, has had problems with her boots and hiking in general because of the way her foot is made. Mainly the top of the foot, the name escapes me, the to bone protrudes and causes her problems. Well I knew that there was some way of giving her some releif. I found this site.and change how she ties her hiking boots. It worked! In fact I do the same thing. Check it out. You will find out that there a lot of different ways of tying you boots.! Very HappyIans Shoe Lace Site

We ended up using this pattern for her. Army Lacing

Jay,
Was setting in here waiting on the next class when I though about it. That is a very good site!

So how do you all lace your hiking boots/shoes? I was thinking of the the hiking/biking lace, or the ladder lace. Jay really got me thinking with his post on another thread, and I never thought that lacing your shoes differently mattered.
