Re: ERL Trail Work
Well sure is nice to get you folks to volunteer! Actually TM sounds like a great idea!!
Sounds like a win win for everyone.
As far as my intentions I am just a little bull
headed and I am close by and the work needed to be done so I did it! Then I told
the FS that I did it! Well that was how I started in the Caney Creek Wilderness and
they didn't bite my head of then either. I do need to send all that are interested the
work release form that the FS requires. Also the work reporting form, AR it is just
a adaption of the FoOT form and is easy to use and they like it! I will make contact
with the FS office Thursday and run it by them. And by the way I can work from
the N.ABF trail head down the Viles Branch and if I need I can go up the ABF for
quite a ways. Every one that agrees to work should make at least two trips per
year to keep it clear.
Any way I am on board.

Re: ERL Trail Work
Oh, I gotta make the second annual tristate solo group hike, otherwise it would only be the bistate solo group hike, and that just don't sound right.

Re: ERL Trail Work
My group in Dallas uses parts of that trail a lot. I think I could get some interest going for a trail adoption.

Re: ERL Trail Work
I have emailed the FS and am waiting a reply on the group adoption idea. I don't see as how they
wouldn't want to do it. Mark A. did I send you a work release form? When I get word from the FS
I am also going to post on backpacker.com.

Re: ERL Trail Work
Please check my new topic on the ERL work. I have gotten a ok to go ahead with this.
Start thinking on what sections that you or your group would like to adopt. For me
the easiest section for me would be from the N. ABF access down the Viles Branch trail.
Possibly up to Eagle Rock Vista.
